Maria Amburn

My name is Maria Teresa Amburn, and I live in Port Orchard, WA.

It gives me joy to be in my craft room, letting my imagination get the best of me.  I currently have been working with mixed media to create small wall art pieces that are so much fun to make.  There are no rules when I start to play with so many different items and colors to produce these compact wall hangings.

Since my late forties, I have been taking classes in acrylics, watercolors, silk painting, drawing and one mosaic class that was the beginning of my exploration of that art form.  Oh, my, I love making mosaic pieces.

I am still learning, experimenting, and allowing myself to make mistakes and to keep on going!  My passion is starting with a blank slate and challenging myself to create something pleasing to my eyes.  Its creativity that feeds my soul!
