Steve Twiss

Steve Twiss was born in Albany, NY and raised in Great Barrington, MA.  While in high school Steve developed an interest in drawing. and watched artist, such as Bob Ross on television.

Steve’s interest in science ultimately won out. In 1970 he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Eastern Washington University.  He worked for Western Nuclear and Washington State Department of Ecology. In 1990 Steve opened and operated for 23 years, Twiss Analytical Laboratories in Poulsbo, WA.  Having an opportunity to sell the business in 2014, Steve retired to have more time for is his family and his art.

Friends of Steve’s encouraged him to give art another try. He has taken watercolor classes from Tony “Olga” Nelson since 2007.  He has also taken many classes from Roy Lowry.  Steve received an honorable mention for his watercolor painting in a Helen Norris Open Art Show.
